Multimedia Escape Room

The first submarine escape room

In the cruise ship Arvia of the customer P&O Cruises, tennagels Medientechnik GmbH built this year for the first hybrid experience of submarine simulator, escape room and theme park ride.
In the dry dock of the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, a worldwide unique experience was created. With more than 300 buttons, switches, sliders and design elements on ten working terminals, the crew (consisting of vacation guests of the cruise ship) dives into a mixed reality world. Through underwater canyons and sunken cities, the crew of up to ten playfully experiences an exciting underwater blockbuster and learns everything about the underwater habitat along the way.
In addition to the aforementioned buttons, an armada of media technology is used. On more than 40 high-resolution displays, two VR cabins, 50 computers, a high-performance sound system, an LED cube with a pixel pitch of 1.6mm and a hydraulic platform, the cruiser is sent on a great journey - with the goal of returning to one of the Arvia's bars at the end to tell his friends about the unique experience.
